Veterans Services

The City of Aurora welcomes veterans and we commit to supporting those who have served.

If you are in need of assistance with issues such as VA benefits, Wise County has a Veterans Services office with Veterans Service Officers available to support you. More information can be found on their website: Veteran Services | Wise County, TX

Additionally, there are other local groups that may be able to provide different levels of support, or that may just be a good group to provide fellowship. Some local groups are listed below:

Wise County Veterans Group (wisecountyvets.org)

• Wise County Veterans Group meets weekly for breakfast, and also hosts special events and gatherings, including honor guard/graveside services upon request.

Rhome Veterans – Rhome Veterans, Veterans Groups, Nonprofit, Veteran

• Rhome Veterans Group hosts many special events throughout the year, including car shows, special tributes on Memorial Day, and volunteers to put out flags for Veterans Day each year.
