Municipal Development District

In November of 2023, voters approved the creation of the Aurora Municipal Development District, and authorized the imposition of a 1/2 of one cent sales tax on all sales within the district. The District includes all area within the City Limits of Aurora, but also within the City’s extraterritorial jurisdiction.

At this time, the City is accepting applications for volunteers to serve on a future Municipal Development District Board of Directors. The application can be completed HERE.
