Chisholm Trail Disposal Landfill

Chisolm Trail Disposal, LLC submitted a permit application to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) in February 2024. As of early October, a public hearing has yet to be scheduled. One is expected this fall. The time and date of the hearing will be posted here.

The application is for a landfill to be located west of Bobo’s Crossing and accessing CR 4668 between CR 4667 and CR 4659. The application indicates the landfill will be used for commercial, industrial and residential waste. The ultimate height of the landfill will be 875 above sea level. For reference, the height of CR 4668 at the entrance is approximately 680 feet above sea level.

The landfill is expected to generate 1,300 trips per day with over half of those being roll off trucks.
